Taking Back Autumn, Domestic Violence Luminary

Autumn TenneyA luminary to support Taking Back Autumn, a Page Regional Domestic Violence Service foundation was held on December 3,, 2013.  The luminary was in honor of Autumn Tenney, who was killed by her domestic partner near Page on May 12, 2012. Her killer was convicted on second degree murder charges. He is expected to be sentenced 16 to 18 years in prison. December 3 is Autumn’s birthday.

Taking Back Autumn, formerly known as Autumn’s Hope, was created to help educate, prevent, and assist in rural domestic violence so parents and loved ones don’t have to suffer losing their child. Warm beverages will be provided at the luminary.

The mission of the Page Regional Domestic Violence Services is

to reduce the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault in the region through a coordinated community response to family violence, by providing a comprehensive service system for primary and secondary victims, promoting legal sanctions and providing intensive treatment for offenders. The Page Regional Domestic Violence services are free and confidential for Victims and delivered in a culturally sensitive, respectful manner — free of discrimination on the basis of race, religion, culture or sexual orientation.

Crisis intervention, emergency shelter for victims and children, food and basic needs, legal advocacy, Emergency Mobile Response Teams, and an Intensive Offender Intervention Program are just a few of the services provided.  View all services HERE.

Family Bargain Center

The Family Bargain Center (FBC) provides supplemental funding to PRDVS’s Another Way Victim Services through sales of donated consumer goods. FBC also provides a community service by recycling household goods and clothes. FBC has donated more than $10,000 per year to help those in need in the area. What is Domestic Violence?


Domestic Violence as defined by law is physical acts of violence (pushing, hitting, choking, kicking, biting, slapping, pinching), sexual assault, endangerment, threatening, intimidation, and harassment, interfering with the custody of a child, trespass or damage to your property, animal cruelty (injuring or killing a victim’s pet), restraint, kidnapping or holding one a prisoner, preventing a person from using the phone, assault with his/her body or a weapon, display of a deadly weapon or threaten with deadly weapon and photographing, videotaping, filming or recording without your knowledge AND is committed by spouse or former spouse, a parent of your child, a person who lives or has lived in the same household as you, has had a romantic or sexual relationship, including same sex partners, related by blood or court ordered as a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister, related by marriage or a person who has resided in the same household with a child.
