Ski-Doo Accident Injures Boat Passenger

Update: The accident that happened on Lake Powell Sunday June 24th, about 2pm, emergency units responded to a 9-11 call into Glen Canyon National Recreation Area dispatch reporting an incident in the Navajo Canyon area- a boat was pulling a kayak was slowing down however a jet ski was not able to slow down and landed on a boat on top of a female passenger sitting in the back of the watercraft.  The boat motored back to get help with lifting the jet ski off the patient- Page Fire was first on scene, then Classic Air lifted the patient to Flagstaff Medical Center.

Thursday June 28th the patient, identified as Page Encompass Nurse Practioner Bee Valvo, is currently in stable condition at Flagstaff Medical Center. Utah State Parks – National Park Service and Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded- the Sheriff’s Office still has the lead on the investigation.
