stop-go_smallIt was the wrong way to cruise America as Captain Ray Varner with the Page Police Department reports that an RV rented by tourists ran a stop sign, hit a car, and then ran into a house at the corner of Elm and 4th streets in Page last week.

The crash happened on April 18, 2014 a little after 12:00 P.M. when the Cruise America recreational vehicle failed to stop, hit a car traveling through the intersection, and then careened into the corner home on the northeast corner of the intersection. The impact took out a section of the roof on the house and badly damaged the vehicle. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

One occupant of the RV was treated on the scene by Fire Department personnel for a hand laceration. The occupant of the car that was hit was reportedly fitted with a surgical collar by nurse on the scene, Amy Snell, but declined transport for medical attention. The driver of the RV was cited for failure to stop while the driver of the 2nd vehicle was cited for expired registration.
