Page Students to Compete in County Spelling Bee
A student from Page Middle School and another from Desert View Elementary School are among 22 of county’s top-spellers competing in the Coconino County Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 15. The battle for spelling supremacy starts at 10am at Coconino High School’s mini-auditorium, 2801 N. Izabel in Flagstaff. Spectators are welcome to attend.
The 2014 Coconino County Spelling Bee is open to home, public, charter and private school-students from throughout the County.The competition is organized and promoted through the County Superintendent of Schools Office.

Rotary Clubs from Flagstaff, Grand Canyon and Williams have donated monetary awards for the top three spellers. Qualified members from these clubs serve as judges for the competition.
Winner Heads to State Competition
The winner of the County Spelling Bee gets to compete at the Arizona Educational Foundation State Spelling Bee in Phoenix, on Saturday March 29. Ultimately, 27 of the state’s top spellers will compete at this level.
The winner of the state bee will represent Arizona at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. from May 25 to 31.
