Nominations Open for Coconino County Elections

Nominations are open for Coconino County elections, and ten elected offices are open.  The deadline to submit all nomination petition paperwork is at 5pm on May 28, 2014.

election hatsOffices up for grabs include:

  • Clerk to the Superior Court
  • Constable – Flagstaff
  • Superintendent of Schools (two-year term)
  • Justice of the Peace – Flagstaff, Fredonia, Page and Williams
  • Superior Court Judge- Divisions I, II and IV

Candidates who declare their partisanship will be listed on the August 26 Primary Election ballot. Primary winners and those running unopposed will then have their names placed on the November 4 General Election ballot.

Candidates nominated other than by primary will only appear on the November 4 General Election ballot.

Non-partisan offices, such as school district governing boards, fire, water, sanitary and other boards, only appear on the November 4 ballot. These candidates have a different filing period.
