October 01
07:53 2014

navajo nation seal-resized_lgrFor the people of the Navajo Nation, the deadline for registering to vote in the Presidential election is Monday October 6th.

In order to do so you’ll need your C.I.B. card, Social Security card and a picture I.D. There are evidently not many places where you can register, however. If you’re in the Page area, you’re in luck, as you can register between 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Daylight Savings Time at the Lechee Chapter House. The only other chapter houses where you can register in the general area are in Tuba City, Kaibeto and Coppermine.

Deadline for Coconino County is also October 6

The deadline for Coconino County residents to register to vote in the November 4 General Election is next Monday, October 6.

To register, an individual must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old by Election Day, reside within Coconino County and have no felony convictions, unless civil rights have been restored.

In Page, forms are available at Page City Hall (closed on Friday). Registrations forms are available at the Elections Office at 110 E. Cherry Avenue in Flagstaff. For locations of other distribution sites, call the County Elections Office at 928-679-7860  or toll free 800-793-6181.
