National Park Service Seeks Public Comment

National Park Service Seeks Public Comment
September 03
17:20 2013

The National Park Service (NPS) invites the public to provide comments related to the proposed improvement of water drainage in the Bullfrog developed area of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Storm water run-off currently deposits sand and debris as it moves through the campground and other areas. This causes damage to infrastructure, increased maintenance, and visitor and employee safety concerns. Improvements may include redirecting existing drainage systems or modifying the existing drainage system to allow surface flows to move through the developed are in a way that does not put people or park resources at risk.

Submit Comments Through September 27th

The NPS is currently preparing an environmental assessment and is seeking public comment through the 27th of September. All comments related to the proposal are welcome. More information can be requested from park headquarters at 928-608-6400.
