Missing Person Near Tusayan Found

Betty Mae Lee - Missing Near TusayanBetty Mae Lee was located Monday afternoon near the junction of Forest Service roads 305 and 688 by a man cutting wood in the area, according to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office. The woodcutter had previously been contacted by a deputy who gave him a missing person flier on Lee. Lee was treated for minor injuries by on-scene medical personnel and was said to be in fair condition.

Coconino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit, Deputies and Detectives had requested assistance in locating 63 year old Betty Mae Lee who was last on Sunday at about 3:30 pm in the area of SR Highway 64 and FS 305 which is located approximately 20 miles south of Tusayan, Arizona. According to Family members she was with relatives picking pinion nuts. Ms. Lee became separated from her party and has not been seen or heard from since. Ms. Lee has several serious preexisting medical conditions and is not in possession of her required medication. She is blind in one eye.
