Free Food in Support of Early Voting at City Hall
November 02
11:38 2016

No matter which side of the aisle you support or which direction you lean, there is one thing everyone can agree on; free food.

In support of early voting, the Democratic Party is giving out free hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as refreshments, until 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot.

Today is the last day for Arizona voters to mail in their ballots to be sure they arrive before Election Day and will be counted. The U-S Postal Service recommends giving first-class mail three to five days to arrive, and the Arizona Secretary of State’s website says on a ballot, a postmark is not enough – anything delivered after November 8th will not be counted.

About half of the 48,000 early ballots sent to voters in Coconino County have been returned. As of Monday, Coconino County Elections Office had received around 24,977 ballots with more continuing to pour in.

A record 81,461 people in Coconino County are registered to vote on November 8th.  More than 30 percent of voters have already cast their ballots.
