Fight Hunger in Page: Live Music on Saturday

If you’re up for some live music for a good cause, Faith Bible Chapel is hosting the “Fight Hunger in Page” concert on Saturday, February 22.

food bank itemsTo get in, all you need is a canned good, box of cereal, bag of beans or other non-perishable food item. The more items you bring the better your chance at winning a $25 gift certificate to Fiesta Mexicana or a Long Board from Beach Break Boardshop. The winner will be announced after the concert.

Performers include Christian rappers SupamanRemnant and Da Preachaman.

A mini-concert Friday afternoon kicks things off at City Park from 3:45pm to 5pm. The main event is at Faith Bible Chapel from 7pm to 9pm.

Help the Hungry

According to a recent report, cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps, are being felt in Arizona. SNAP benefits were cut 5% in November, amounting to about $36 per month for a family of four. As a result, poor families are relying more on food banks.
