Election Day Information

August 25
08:25 2014

VoteTuesday, August 26, 2014 is Election Day. “Where do I vote and what identification do I need?” are questions often heard by Coconino County Elections staff each election.

Polling places are open from 6:00 A.M to 7:00 P.M. Registered voters are encouraged to be prepared by knowing their polling location and having the appropriate ID, when casting a ballot in the Tuesday, Aug. 26 Primary Election.

Navajo Primary Today Also

The Navajo Nation Primary Election is also going on today, Tuesday August 26, 2014. Voting takes place at the local chapter houses.

If you would like to verify your registration or if you have any questions, call the Navajo Nation Election Administration office toll free at 1-800-775-8683. Polls will be open from 6:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Sample Ballots and Polling Locations

Every registered household, except those who received an early ballot or are on the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL), should have received a sample ballot by mail. The front of the sample ballot will identify the polling place to cast a ballot.

A number of polling locations are different from the last countywide Coconino Community College Special Election that was held in November 2013. That election was conducted using consolidated polling places and the Primary Election tomorrow on August 26th will be conducted using all of the polling places in the County.

Voters who did not receive a sample ballot in the mail and believe they are registered to vote can go to the Elections Office Web page at www.coconino.az.gov/elections and select “Locate Your Polling Place.” Then fill in the required information to find the proper polling place.

If a voter has moved and has not updated their voter registration information, they must, by law, go to their new polling place (based on their current address) and cast a provisional ballot. The ballot will returned to the Elections Office on election night to be verified.

Page will have 4 polling locations including:

Page Central/City of Page Townhouse, 605 S. Navajo Drive
Page East/Page Public Safety Building, 808 Coppermine Road
Page South/Faith Bible Church, 551 San Francisco Road
Page West/Page City Hall, 697 Vista Avenue.

ID Requirements

To speed up the voting process and ensure a better voting experience, voters should make sure they have the required identification in hand when they go to the polling place on Election Day.

There are specific requirements for certain forms of photo and non-photo ID. The forms of acceptable ID can be found on the Elections Web page and include a valid Arizona driver license or non-operating identifcation, tribal enrollment card, valid US federa, state, or local government issued identificaiton and other options. If you are unsure, and do not have access to the Elections Web page, you may also call the Elections Office at 928-679-7860 or toll free 800-793-6181.
