earth2014_smallGrand Canyon National Park is calling all Northern Arizona artists who would like to help celebrate Earth Day with water bottle art!

This year the theme of Earth Day is water conservation and the Grand Canyon Green Team is calling all artists to create an art piece comprised of 75% recycled materials with a focus on water bottles. Submitted pieces will be displayed during Earth Day events, which will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 20th at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center.

This art show is open to artists of all ages. Entries should be comprised of at least 75% recycled materials with the focus on recycled/used items including used water bottles. Art should weigh no more than 50lbs and must be able to fit in the bed of a small pickup truck. All art pieces must be delivered to park headquarters on April 18th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and any art left after 2 p.m. on April 20th will be recycled. : )

Grand Canyon’s Green Team is comprised of employees from various National Park Service divisions, park concessions, and park partners collaboratively working to increase the awareness and level of environmental stewardship within the Grand Canyon community.
