First day early ballots will be available for the March 22nd Presidential Preference Election (PPE) to registered Democrats, Green Party, and Republican voters this Wednesday, February 24th.

The PPE is a preference election where Arizonans cast their vote for who they prefer the Arizona delegates cast their vote for at their party’s national convention and only registered Democrats, Green Party and Republicans are eligible to vote.

Early ballots can be requested via mail, by calling the Elections Office, sending a written request to Coconino County Elections Office, 110 E. Cherry Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ, 86001; or submiting an on-line request at www.coconino.az.gov/elections and clicking on “Early Ballot Request.”  The deadline to request an early ballot by mail is March 11th.

Page residents may also vote early, in person, at Page City Hall Monday through Thursday.

Registered voters who are on the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) will have their ballots mailed to them on February 24th. If you are on the PEVL and don’t receive your early ballot by Wednesday, March 2nd, call the Elections Office at 928-679-7860 to verify that your address on file is correct. Early ballots cannot be forwarded by the Post Office.

If you are not affiliated with a political party and wish to vote in the PPE, the deadline to register with the Democratic, Republican, or Green Party is midnight tonight.
