Corvettes as Far As the Eye Could See

It was an otherwise normal Thursday at the Glen Canyon Dam parking lot. But on the morning of September 23, it became a “Museum in Motion” of Chevrolet Corvettes all around. Red ones, blue ones, yellow ones! Newer ones, old ones and more!

The National Corvette Museum is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This “Museum in Motion” was one of many they sponsor across the country. This one began in Williams, Arizona, and is called the “The National Parks Tour.”

They had been to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. By now they’ve probably hit Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks.

One of their members, Donald Mason, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, talked to Lake Powell Communications for a spell on this bright, beautiful and sunny Thursday morning.

“It’s a lot of fun, and you meet some interesting people along the way,” he said.

He and his wife, Cindy, were simply enjoying themselves.

The tour had a leader (a lead Corvette.) And as Mr. Mason told us, they also have a caboose at the end of the line.

“We hope to be home by mid-October,” said this happy traveler.
