Arizona Now Accepting 2014 Hunt Permit-Tag Applications

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is now accepting applications for 2014 hunt permit-tags for deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall buffalo and pheasant. Tags will be issued through a drawing process. The draw for elk and pronghorn antelope was held earlier this year. Results are available here.

DeerThe 2014-15 Arizona Hunting Regulations are currently posted online. Printed regulation booklets will be available at Arizona Game and Fish Department offices and at license dealers statewide by mid-May.

Paper applications may be submitted by U.S. mail to Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn: Drawing Section, P.O. Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052. They may also be hand-delivered to any Game and Fish office. Online applications for this draw will be available by mid-May.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 10, 2014 by 7 p.m. Applications must be RECEIVED by the department by the deadline. Postmarks do not count. Those mailing applications should send them in several days before the deadline to make sure they get where they need to be on time.

Trapping seasons, rules and regulations are no longer a part of the annual Arizona Hunting Regulations booklet. The department is producing a separate Trapping Regulations pamphlet that will be available this summer.
